This Privacy Policy explains what information Silo and the related Titan CineQuest services collect, why we collect it, how we use, store, and share it, and how you can access or delete it. It applies to everyone who visits titancinequest.com or signs in to Silo at silo.titancinequest.com, including people who sign in with their Google account.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to sign you in, stream media to you, and keep the service secure.
- If you use Sign in with Google, we receive only your basic profile: your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID. We never see your Google password, and we cannot read your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google data.
- We do not sell your information, show ads, track you across other websites, or use your data to train AI models.
- You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing [email protected].
1. Who we are
Silo is a private, invitation-only media streaming service operated by Titan CineQuest (“Titan CineQuest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Silo lets invited members browse and stream the movies and TV shows in our library. Titan CineQuest also runs the Homebase dashboard at titancinequest.com and the related member services listed below. These are non-commercial services: we do not charge for them and do not collect payment information.
Titan CineQuest is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Services this policy covers
| Service | Address | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Silo | silo.titancinequest.com | Our media streaming app. Members sign in, including with Google, to browse and watch our library. |
| Homebase | titancinequest.com | A public page with links to our services and device setup guides. It has no accounts or sign-in. |
| Requests | request.titancinequest.com | Members request movies and shows to be added to the library. |
| Stats | stats.titancinequest.com | Shows viewing statistics for our Plex server. Sign-in required. |
| Status | status.titancinequest.com | A public uptime page for our services. It collects no personal information beyond the standard server logs described below. |
| Speed Test | speed.titancinequest.com | Measures the connection speed between your device and our server. |
Other member services on titancinequest.com subdomains, such as our audiobook and e-book libraries, follow the same practices. They store only the account, library, and progress information needed to run them.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information from Google when you use Sign in with Google
If you choose to sign in to Silo with Google, Google asks for your permission and then shares the following with us. We request only the openid, email, and profile scopes.
- Google account ID: a unique identifier Google assigns to your account. We use it to recognize you when you return.
- Email address and whether Google has verified it.
- Name as shown on your Google account.
- Profile picture (a link to the image).
We do not receive your Google password. We do not request or access your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, YouTube, location history, or any other Google service data.
3.2 Account and profile information
We store your username or display name, your account role (for example, member or administrator), and the settings you choose in Silo, such as language, subtitle, and playback-quality preferences.
3.3 Viewing activity
To let you resume where you left off and see what you've watched, Silo records the titles you play, your playback progress, your watch history, and any favorites, watchlist items, or ratings you add. Our Plex-based services record similar playback history.
3.4 Device and connection information
When you stream, our servers receive your IP address, device type and name, app or browser version, operating system, and technical details about the stream, such as resolution, bitrate, and whether the video is converted for your device. We use this to deliver video correctly and to troubleshoot problems.
3.5 Server logs
Like most websites, our web servers automatically log each request. A log entry contains your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, your browser's user-agent string, and the response status. This applies to every page on titancinequest.com, including Homebase, which does not otherwise collect any personal information.
3.6 Requests and messages
If you use the Requests service, we store the titles you ask for and your notification preferences. If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can respond.
3.7 Speed tests
A speed test measures download speed, upload speed, and latency between your device and our server. The result may be logged together with your IP address and the time of the test so we can diagnose streaming problems.
3.8 What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card or bank information, government ID numbers, precise GPS location, your contacts, or access to your camera or microphone. We do not buy information about you from data brokers.
4. How we use your information
We use the information described above only for these purposes:
- Signing you in and managing your account: creating your Silo account, linking it to your Google sign-in, and recognizing you on later visits.
- Providing the service: streaming media to your device, remembering your playback position, and showing your watch history, watchlist, and "continue watching" rows.
- Personalizing Silo: showing your name and profile picture in the app and applying your preferences.
- Handling your requests: processing titles you request and notifying you when they become available, if you have turned on notifications.
- Security and abuse prevention: limiting access to invited members, detecting unauthorized sign-ins, and blocking malicious traffic.
- Troubleshooting and capacity planning: diagnosing playback and connection problems and understanding overall server load. Our public pages never show member names, email addresses, IP addresses, or viewing activity.
- Communicating with you: replying to your messages and telling you about important changes to your account or to this policy.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, we do not build marketing profiles, and we do not use it to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
5. Google user data (Sign in with Google)
What we access
We access only your Google account ID, email address, email verification status, name, and profile picture, through the openid, email, and profile scopes (see section 3.1). We access nothing else in your Google account.
How we use it
We use Google user data only to authenticate you, to create and link your Silo account, to display your name and profile picture inside Silo, and to contact you about your account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, or interest-based ads. We do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending. We do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
How we store and protect it
Google user data is stored in Silo's account database on our privately operated server and in backups of that server. It is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access is limited to the service itself and to the Titan CineQuest administrator.
How we share it
We do not sell, rent, or transfer Google user data to any third party, including advertising platforms, data brokers, and information resellers. We disclose it only when:
- you ask us to, or give your explicit consent;
- disclosure is required to comply with applicable law or a valid legal process; or
- disclosure is necessary to protect the security of our services or our users, for example when investigating abuse.
Human access
No person reads your Google user data except the Titan CineQuest administrator, and only when you give consent (for example, when you ask for help with your account), when it is necessary for security purposes, or when it is required to comply with the law.
Retention and deletion
We keep Google user data while your Silo account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your Google-derived profile data within 30 days, and it ages out of our backups after that (see section 8). You can also remove Silo's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Removing access stops future sign-ins with Google. To also delete the data we already hold, email [email protected].
8. How long we keep information
- Account, profile, and Google sign-in data: kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days after you close your account or ask us to delete it.
- Viewing activity and requests: kept while your account is active so your history and progress stay available. Deleted with your account.
- Server logs: rotated weekly and automatically deleted after about four months.
- Backups: may briefly hold deleted data until they are overwritten in the normal backup rotation. We do not restore deleted personal data from backups, except to recover from a system failure, and in that case we delete it again.
- Emails you send us: kept as long as needed to handle your request, and deleted on request.
9. Your choices and rights, including deletion
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, or receive a copy of it;
- Correct information that is inaccurate;
- Delete your account and personal information, including Google sign-in data, viewing history, and requests;
- Withdraw consent or object to a particular use of your information.
How to request deletion or exercise your rights
Email [email protected] from the email address linked to your account, and tell us what you would like us to do. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on the request. We will respond within 30 days. When we complete a deletion request, we remove your account and associated data from Silo and our other services, and we confirm by email once it is done.
You can also revoke Silo's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law (such as California), you have these rights under local law. We rely on the following legal bases: providing the service you asked for (account, sign-in, and streaming), our legitimate interests (security, troubleshooting, and server logs), and your consent (Sign in with Google and optional notifications). You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
10. How we protect your information
We protect your information with reasonable safeguards. All connections to our services use encrypted HTTPS. Accounts are invitation-only. Our server runs on a private network behind a firewall and reverse proxy. Administrative credentials and service keys stay on the server and are never sent to your browser. We keep our software up to date.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
11. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
12. Where your information is stored
Our servers are located in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. Cloudflare may process connection data in its data centers worldwide to deliver and protect our services. By using our services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a material change, especially to how we use Google user data, we will notify members by email or with a notice in Silo before the change takes effect, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
